Inspired by Mavic’s top model, the Ultimate XC, the focus was on comfort and efficiency. To this end, the stability on the pedal and the grip have been optimized: The new Energy Grip sole is 40% more efficient than its predecessor on the previous Crossmax Elite.

The Boa® Fit System L6 ensures that the upper shoe embraces your foot with a tight yet comfortable fit. Its micro-adjustment and quick release function are extra user-friendly. The high-end material used is a synthetic fabric that helps the shoe last and be comfortable on long rides. The rubber trim on the toe cap additionally increases the robustness.

The outsole of the Crossmax Elite SL is based on a carbon / fiberglass composite material with superior stiffness and therefore better power transmission to the pedals and a superior stable stand on the bike. The new Energy Grip outsole has been noticeably improved, see above, compared to the previous model: it shines with a particularly natural movement on foot, thanks to the fully injected TPU material, the higher heel area and the revised running profile.

Energy Grip Terra Carbon SL Outsole
The lightest Mavic off-road outsole with optimal stiffness, handcrafted from unidirectional carbon fibers embedded in thermosetting epoxy resin. The fibres are processed according to the load they must bear. Strategic rubber bumpers have been placed according to the need for pedal connection.
